Epoxy is a clear, protective resin coating applied over soft enamel badges to enhance durability and add a smooth, glossy finish. It protects the enamel from scratches and fading, while making the surface feel smoother and less textured by filling in the recessed areas between raised metal lines. This results in a polished, professional look, though it slightly reduces the tactile “bumpy” feel of traditional soft enamel badges.
