What are Printed Enamel Badges?
Printed enamel badges are a versatile modern hybrid that builds on a base of enamel for a premium, durable finish, with an additional full-colour print layer applied over the top to achieve exceptional design detail.
You can choose between two enamel base options:
Normal (soft) enamel — featuring recessed, textured colour areas below raised metal edges (the classic tactile feel), which can be left uncoated for a matte/authentic look or finished with a clear epoxy dome for added protection, gloss, and depth.
Premium (new/imitation hard) enamel — offering a smooth, polished, flush surface where colours sit level with the metal for a sleek, jewellery-like appearance.
In both cases, a high-resolution print (using CMYK offset or digital methods) is then applied directly onto the enamel base, enabling precise reproduction of complex designs, gradients, photographs, logos, fine details, and exact Pantone/brand-accurate colours that standard enamel alone cannot achieve as faithfully.
